Punjab well placed against HP in Nayadu Trophy
Patiala, Nov 1 (UNI) Punjab scored 336 for 3 in 90 overs against, Himachal Pradesh on the opening day of the 4-day Inter-state cricket tournament (Under-22) for the C K Nayadu Trophy here today.
Punjab won the toss and batting first, scored a mammoth 336 for 3.
Sarul Kanwar flogged the depleted Himachal's bowling attack, scoring 153 runs in 222 balls. He hit 25 fours and a towering six.
Tanver Kohli (78 with 12 fours) and Satpal Singh (62 with 9 fours) were the other main run getters.
For Himachal Pradesh, Aditya Chowdhary, Ajay Saklani and Ajay Rana took a wicket each, conceding 43, 36 and 64 runs respectively.
