Punjab govt to appoint 174 coaches

Chandigarh, Sep 29 (UNI) To provide better coaching at the grass root level to young players, the Punjab Government has decided to appoint 174 coaches in the Sports Department.

Disclosing this here today, Sports Minister Gulzar Singh Ranike said proper coaching would provide an opportunity to the players to improve their talent so as to compete at the national as well as international level.

He said the government was committed to provide better sports facilities at village and block level to improve the standard of sports in the state.
