Punjab Games for women begins tomorrow

Bathinda, Oct 10 (UNI) As many as 1800 sportspersons, including many international and national level players, will be seen in action in the Punjab State Games for women to be held at the Sports Stadium here from Octpber 11 to 13.

The sports meet is being organised by the Punjab Sports Department.

According to Sohan Lal Lotey, Assistant Sports Director, about 200 officials have been deputed by the department for smooth conduct of the games.

Deputy Sports Director Harpal Singh said that competitions would be conducted in athletics, badminton, basketball, gymnastics, hockey, handball, kabaddi, kho kho, lawn tennis, swimming, table tennis and volleyball.
