Proctor, Hurst appointed match referees for Asia Cup

Dubai, Jun 5 (UNI) The ICC today appointed Mike Proctor as the match referee for the Asia Cup matches to be staged in Lahore while Alan Hurst will oversee the proceedings in Karachi, Pakistan.

Simon Taufel, Brian Jerling, Ian Gould and Tony Hill will be the umpires fior the Asia Cup which gets underway from June 24.

However, the ICC have not announced the appointments of the officials for the second round matches.

Match Referees: Mike Procter (Lahore) and Alan Hurst (Karachi) June 24: Bangladesh vs UAE, Lahore ODI - Simon Taufel, Ian Gould; Pakistan vs Hong Kong, Karachi - Tony Hill and Brian Jerling June 25: Bangladesh vs Sri Lanka, Lahore - Simon Taufel, Ian Gould; India vs Hong Kong, Karachi - Tony Hill and Brian Jerling June 26: Sri Lanka vs UAE, Lahore - Simon Taufel, Ian Gould; Pakistan v India, Karachi - Tony Hill and Brian Jerling.
