Pride of place for Rohit, Mamta in MCF State ranking TT

Mumbai, June 11 (UNI) The MCF-State ranking table tennis tournament 'the season's first' to be held here from June 12 to 17 has attracted a record 907 entries.

Central Railway's Rohit Chaudhary from Pune and Dena Bank's international Mamta Prabhu from Thane have been top-seeded in the men's and women's singles events.

The events gets underway from tomorrow with the final slated for June 17.

International Aniket Koparkar from Pune and Pooja Sahastrabuddhe of Thane head the corresponding seedings in the youth boys and youth girls singles.

The seedings are: Men's singles: 1. Rohit Chaudhary (Pune), 2. Sanil Shetty (Mum Sub); 3. Omkar Torgalkar (Mum Sub); 4. Eric Fernandes (Mum Sub); 5. Nilesh Pandirkar (Mum Sub); 6. Aniket Koparkar (Pune); 7. Maretand Biniwale (Pune) and 8. Nilay Basak (Mum Sub).
