Prakash crashes out of Canada challenger
New Delhi, Nov 5 (UNI) Indian Davis Cupper Prakash Amritraj crashed out of the 35,000 dollar ATP Challenger event in Rimouski, Canada after his first round match.
The third seeded Indian was trailing 1-6, 2-4 against his British opponent James Ward when he decided to opt out of the contest.
However, in the doubles event, Prakash along with Stephen Amritraj advanced to the quarterfinals after defeating Luigi D'Agord and Nima Roshan 6-4,0 7-6 (6) in the first-round.
Meanwhile, Rohan Bopanna and his Pakistani partner Aisam-ul-Haq Qureshi went down fighting against third-seeded American-Briton pair of Eric Butorac and Ross Hutchins 6-7, (5) 3-6 in the first-round of the 106,500 euro Challenger event in Bratislava, Slovak Republic.
