Pool Junction shocks Rookies Club in RWITC snooker tournament

Pune, Mar 22 (UNI) A sterling performance by Jaydeep Deshpande of Pool Junction helped his team shock Rookies Club 2-0 today in a Group D league encounter at the Royal Western India Turf Club (RWITC) House Interclub Snooker Team Tournament, organised by the RWITC and sponsored by Turf Club member Pramod Patel and supported by Keku Nicolson of Selvel and UB Spirits.

In the matches, Jaydeep Deshpande beat Sarang Survanshi 43-20, 64-56, 26-45, 03-64, 70-39 and later combined with Pradyumna Mehendale to put out Deepu Lalwani and Mandar Rangnekar 54-53, 53-43 in straight frames.

In the toughest encounter of the day in a Group A league encounter, PYC C scraped past Corner Pocket 2-1 thanks to a consistent performance by Aditya Hule.
