PM Narendra Modi congratulates Commonwealth winners
New Delhi, Aug 5: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday congratulated the Indian team for its performance in the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, Scotland, where it came fifth in the medals tally.
In a tweet, the prime minister wrote: "The performance of our athletes in the 2014 Commonwealth Games has made us proud. Congratulations to the medal winners."
The Indian athletes bagged 15 gold, 30 silver and 19 bronze for a total haul of 64 medals to finish fifth in the Commonwealth games.
