PDCA lifts Poona Club rollig Trophy

Pune, May 27 (UNI) Poona District Cricket Association today scored a 9 wicket victory over Nashik Cricket Academy to lift the Kumar Properties-sponsored 2nd Poona Club Rolling trophy, boys under- 15 league-cum-knock out cricket tournament here.

In the finals played here, an outstanding performance by Prashant Nathe (108 runs in 85 balls, 17 fours and 1 six) helped Nasik Cricket Academy to put up a good total of 142 runs in 37 overs.

PDCA's bowlers Rohan Damale 28-3, Vardhaman Lodha 4-2, Vaibhav Shah 19-3 restricted Nasik team to 147.

Chasing the score, Faizan Ansari not out 52 runs (63 balls), Suhas Jadhav 21 runs (27 balls) and Shubham Nagwade not out 39 runs (28 balls), helped PDCA overtake Nasik score in just 19.4 overs and guided their team to a one-sided victory.

Former India Captain Kapil Dev gave away the prizes.
