Pawar to address World Cup squad on Feb 27

Mumbai, Feb 18 (UNI) Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) president Sharad Pawar will meet and address the Indian World Cup squad on February 27 before it leaves for the West Indies for the World Cup.

Mr Pawar is scheduled to address the squad after the official media conference at the board headquarters here in Mumbai, BCCI sources said today.

An official press conference, unlike earlier times, would be held a day in advance and will be addressed by the coach Greg Chappell and captain Rahul Dravid.

The squad will leave for the West Indies in the early hours of March 1 and play its first match on March 17 against Sri Lanka.
