Patiala overhaul Amritsar total in inter district final

Patiala, Aug 29 (UNI) On the penultimate day of the Punjab Inter-District Under-22 cricket tournament, host Patiala showed remarkable grit to score 336 for 7 in the allotted 95 overs to overtake Amritsar's total of 315 for 8 in 95 overs scored yesterday here at the Dhruv Pandove Cricket Stadium.

Ravinder Singh scored a fluent century (123) hitting 9 fours.

Tanmeet Singh(62) also played a stellar role to boost the Patiala total.

Rupreetinder Singh(37), Anjur Jund(34) and Amitoj Singh(24) were the other batsmen to contribute to Patiala's huge score.

For Amritsar, Gaurav Bhandari and Lakshya Seth captured 2 wickets each, giving away 64 and 66 runs respectively.

Tomorrow is the last day of the match and Patiala look all set to win the tournament.
