Pak spikers break India jinx, claim second match of series
Lahore, June 29 (UNI) Pakistan beat India 3-1 in the second fixture of the four-match series at the Pakistan Ordinance Factories (POF) Gymnasium, Wah, to level the series 1-1.
The Pakistanls were impressive in their 25-22, 25-21, 14-25 and 25-13 victory, with Naseer Ahmad, Kashif Mansoor and Sanaullah coming out with outstanding performances.
India, the winners of recently concluded Central Asian Men's Volleyball Championship, were put to swords from the very begining and the Pakistanis won the first two sets 25-22, 25-21.
India's Mandeep Singh unleashed some fiery spikes on the Pakistani defence but to no avail.
Although India came back strongly to bag the third set 14-25, thier opponents took the fourth and the final set 25-13.
The third match of the series will be played on June 30 at Qayyum Stadium in Peshawar and the fourth will be held at WAPDA Sports Complex in Lahore on July 2.
India will host the second leg of the series.
