Pak skipper praises team for beating Lanka

Toronto, Oct 13 (UNI) Pakistan captain Shoaib Malik has praised his team mates for reaching the final of the Toronto T20 tournament.

Pakistan notched up a thrilling three wicket win over Sri Lanka yesterday to qualify for the title clash.

''It was collective effort on part of the young players who turned the table on the opponents in end when things were quite difficult for Pakistan at 91 for 7,'' Malik was qouted as saying by 'The News' here yesterday.

''I want to give credit to all the players, specially the young ones in the ranks and with such fine performances they are in the process of blending themselves in fine cricketers,'' he added.

He praised young batsman Fawad Alam who impressed with his stroke play and led the team to victory with one ball remaining.
