‘One Of My Favourite Guys’: Joe Rogan Praises Yuki Yoza Ahead Of ONE Samurai 1 Bantamweight Title Fight
Japanese kickboxer Yuki Yoza has thanked Joe Rogan for his recent praise. Rogan called him “one of my favourite guys to watch right now” on his podcast. Yoza fights Jonathan Haggerty for the ONE Bantamweight Kickboxing World Championship at ONE SAMURAI 1 on 29 April.
The 28-year-old striker said he did not hear it live. Friends and fans sent him the podcast clip later. Yoza said the praise made him happy. He felt that major figures in combat sports now notice his work.

Yoza enters the title bout with a 22-2 career record. He also has a perfect 3-0 run in ONE. His style features strong calf kicks that impress striking specialists. Haggerty, aged 29 from the UK, holds a professional 23-5 record.
Yoza on global attention
Yoza said the attention means more global fans now follow him. “Honestly, I'm really happy about it,” he said. “It makes me feel like people like that are finally starting to notice me.” He added that Rogan is known worldwide.
“Someone like Joe Rogan, who's well known around the world, knowing about me makes me really happy,” Yoza said. He added that he wants to keep having “exciting fights” that “fire up fans all around the world” as his career grows.
Interest in Joe Rogan podcast appearance
Yoza said he would gladly join 'The Joe Rogan Experience’. He called it a chance to reach more viewers. “Of course, if the opportunity comes, I'd definitely love to appear on Joe Rogan's podcast,” he said, noting its global reach and impact.
Yoza explained that such an appearance could raise his profile. “The reason is I think it would help more people get to know who I am. People all over the world would be able to learn about me,” he said before his April title challenge.
