Ntini, Kallis grab eight to dismiss Pakistan
CAPE TOWN, Jan 26 (Reuters) South Africa fast bowlers Makhaya Ntini and Jacques Kallis grabbed four wickets each to dismiss Pakistan for 157 on the first day of the deciding third test today.
Pakistan, who lost the toss and were put in to bat, were bowled out with what became the last ball before tea after Ntini took four for 44 and Kallis four for 42.
Mohammad Yousuf top-scored with 83 in an otherwise dismal batting effort on a pitch that offered bounce and seam movement, adding 60 runs for the seventh wicket with Mohammad Sami (4).
Pakistan, 70 for four at lunch, were in further trouble when skipper Inzamam-ul-Haq, who scored six, feathered a catch against medium pacer Andrew Hall to wicketkeeper Mark Boucher.
Yousuf faced 90 balls and hit 11 fours and a six until he became the last man out when he skied a drive against Ntini to Ashwell Prince in the covers.
Ntini struck in the eighth over of the morning when he had opener Mohammad Hafeez caught by AB de Villiers at slip for 10.
He then forced Yasir Hameed to steer a head-high catch to Kallis at second slip for seven.
Kallis, introduced into the attack at first change in the 15th over, took a wicket in his second over when opener Imran Farhat (20) edged a catch to Graeme Smith at first slip.
