NSRY champions in athletic meet

Kochi, Mar 2 (UNI) Naval Ship Repair Yard (NSRY) here won the 'Overall Champion's trophy' in the 27th Athletic Championship of the Civilian employees of Southern Naval Command.

According to an official release today, Naval Armament Depot (NAD) in Aluva bagged the runner-up trophy in the championship which concluded yesterday.

Dixon Anuclas of NAD was adjudged the 'Individual Champion' in the men's section and H Geetha of Material Organisation, Kochi was declared 'Individual Champion' among women for the 18th time.

The championship ended with a colourful march past by all the teams accompanied by the Navy Band.

Commodore M N Ancheri, Material Superintendent of MO(K) was the Chief Guest for the closing ceremony and gave away prizes and trophies.
