No pressure from the board on top players to take part in Twenty20
Mumbai, Apr 12 (UNI) The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) today made it clear that it had not brought about any pressure on the players to take part in the All India Twenty20 tournament to be held from April 15-21.
The cricket board, however, still expects most of the top players to turn out for their respective teams.
''The board has not made it compulsory for all the players to take part in the Twenty20 tournament, but I think most of them will play,'' BCCI secretary Niranjan Shah said today.
The final of the tournament, with teams split into two groups, is to be held here on April 21 and the previous day the selectors are to meet in Mumbai to choose the Test and ODI squads for the Bangladesh tour in May.
