Nimbus bags telecast rights for Ireland matches
Mumbai, May 31 (UNI) Nimbus Communications has bagged the telecast rights for the next months four one-day international matches in Ireland, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced today.
Nimbus would pay 6.05 million dollars per match for the series that is to be played from June 26 to July 1, BCCI vice-president Lalit Modi said here.
The series involves three ODIs against South Africa and another against Ireland in Belfast.
Earlier, the itinerary was in doubt after Zee Television pulled out of its four-year period contract with the BCCI yesterday.
Zee's deal with BCCI was for a minimum of 25 one-dayers featuring the Indian team in neutral venues.
