Neville suffers new injury setback
LONDON, Nov 7 (Reuters) Manchester United captain Gary Neville will miss their Champions League game against Dynamo Kiev today after suffering a setback on his return from long-term injury.
Neville played for the first time since damaging ankle ligaments last March in a reserve match last week, raising hopes the right back would be ready for European duty.
''Unfortunately, Gary's got a little calf strain again,'' United manager Alex Ferguson was quoted as saying on the club's Web site www.manutd.com yesterday.
''It's a real dampener for the boy and us and something we could have done without.
''I don't think it's a long one, but it is a setback because he really needs to get his season on the road.'' Victory for United at Old Trafford would guarantee them a place in the knockout round from Group F.
The injury also makes the 32-year-old Neville a doubt for England's final Euro 2008 Group E qualifier against Croatia on November 21 at Wembley.
