NE Chess competition from March 2
Agartala, Feb 14 (UNI) At least 70 competitors from entire NE region are expectd to participate in a six-day chess competition to be held from March two here.
The Indian Chess player organisation will provide financial assistance for this purpose, state chess organisation said last night.
Of the total prize money of Rs 22,000, the lion's share of this will be provided by the Indian Chess Player Organisation. The competition will be on swiss league basis.
Following personal efforts of Indian Chess Player Organisation President and Grand Master Dibyendu Barua, this type of championship is being organised for the first time in this capital city.
Besides, Dibyendu Barua, Grand Master Abhijit Kunte is also expected to participate in the competition.
