Nayaz bags LG Pune Amateur Golf Championship Am-Am

Pune, Nov 17 (UNI) N R Nayaz returned the best individual gross score by an amateur to clinch the LG Pune Amateur Golf Championship Am-Am, which brought down the curtains on the main event played at the Par-71 Pune Golfcourse Club Ltd here today.

Nayaz carded an impressive 31 stableford points.

Meanwhile, the team of P Contractor and Sumedh Gangal emerged the Am-Am champions with a winning tally of 66 stableford points. In the individual category, Ms H J Jeng won with 39 stableford points, while R Agarwal finished second with 36 stableford points on a better back nine score.

In the media putting competition, Edwin de Souza (The Times of India) clinched the first prize, while Shriram Shinde (Maharashtra Herald) came second.

The LG Pune Amateur Golf Championship witnessed an elite band of partners. International apparel company Kappa was the Official Styling Partner, while CNN which is the Official News Channel was also the hole-in-one sponsor on the designated par-3. Ten Sports was the Official Sports Channel, while Times of India was the Official Media Partner. Gatorade was the official sports drink, while Kingfisher beer was the beverage sponsor.
