Naveen congratulates KISS under-14 Rugby team for winning World Cup

Bhubaneswar, Sep 29 (UNI) Orissa Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik congratulated the Kalinga Institute of Social Science(KISS) team for winning the under-14 Rugby World Cup Final defeating South Africa today.

The Rugby Squad of KISS, a sister concern of KIIT University, captained by Bikas Chandra Murmu, emerged as a dark horse in the whole tournament played at London.

The Chief Minister while congratulating the team members for their grand success wished them a bright future.

The team representing India in the under- 14 Rugby World Cup had stormed into final in the Group-B by defeating Zambia, Kenya, Switzerland and Romania to clash with South Africa at Scottish Rugby Club, London.

Founder Secretary of KISS and KIIT and Chancellor of KIIT University Dr A Samanta also congratulated the team and said it was a matter of great pride for KISS, the tribal community, state and the country as a whole to clinch the championship trophy.
