National ranking TT championships (SZ) declared open

Kochi, Sep 5 (UNI) OSEL national ranking Table Tennis championships (South Zone) was today declared open by former national champion and Arjuna awardee V Chandrasekhar at the Regional Sports Centre here.

More than 425 players, including men's national champion Achanta Sharath Kamal and women's top seed Poulomi Ghatak will vie for honours in the event.

The other top ranking players taking part in the championship are former national champion Subhajit Saha, Anirban Nandi, Pathik Mehta, Sibhaji Dutta, Anal Kashyap, Ranbir Das, Neha Aggarwal, Mouma Das and Mantu Ghosh.

The matches in all the eight categories like men's singles, women's singles, youth boys singles, youth girls singles, junior boys singles, junior girls singles, sub-junior boys singles and sub-junior girls singles will commence tomorrow.

The tournament will conclude on September eight.
