National league volleyball tourney begins Feb 25

Kannur, Kerala, Feb 22 (UNI) National League Volleyball Championship will be held here from February 25 to March 4 at the Jimmy George floodlit stadium in Payyanur.

Ten teams, Including six men's team will participate in the league matches, Tournament Committee Convenor Gangadharan told newspersons here.

Last year winners, South Central Railway, Cochin Refineries, Cochin Port Trust, Karnataka Police, Indian bank, ICF-Chennai and in Women section, SAI-Thalassery, Central Railway, Western Railway and G K M Foundation would be seen in action.

This is the third time Payyanur is hosting the tournament after 2000 and 2002.
