National, inter-state TT championships commence tomorrow

Chennai, Dec 23 (UNI) More than 500 paddlers from 31 states and the title holders PSPB Academy would vie for honours in the 69th Sub-Junior National and Inter-State Table Tennis championship beginning here tomorrow.

The event, carrying a total prize money of Rs 1.38 lakh is coming to the city after a gap of three years with increased participation.

It would be held in four categories -- sub-junior boys and girls under-14, cadet under-12 boys and girls.

Team championships would be held from December 24 to 26 and the individual events from December 26 to 29.
