Napheesa Collier Returns To Minnesota Lynx On One-Year USD 1.4 Million Supermax
Napheesa Collier is staying with the Minnesota Lynx on a one-year WNBA supermax contract worth $1.4 million, according to ESPN sources. The five-time All-Star returns after delivering one of the most productive individual seasons in league history for Minnesota.
The forward became the first player in WNBA history to average at least 20 points while posting 50/40/90 shooting splits. Collier recorded 22.9 points per game in 2025, making 53.1% from the field, 40.3% from three-point range and 90.6% at the free throw line.

Collier’s agreement arrives shortly after the Las Vegas Aces retained four-time MVP A'ja Wilson. ESPN reported Wilson signed a three-year WNBA supermax contract worth $5 million, described as the most valuable deal in league history. Collier’s new contract makes Collier the third WNBA player on a supermax.
Across seven seasons with Minnesota, Collier averages 18.4 points, 7.8 rebounds, 2.9 assists, 1.7 steals and 1.2 blocks per game. The Lynx selected Collier sixth overall in the 2019 draft from UConn, and Collier collected the WNBA Rookie of the Year award that debut season.
Collier already ranks among the leading figures in Minnesota Lynx history. Collier sits second all-time in franchise scoring average at 18.4 points, trailing Maya Moore. Collier is also second in career steals with 325 and second in blocks with 239, behind Sylvia Fowles in both defensive categories.
Last season, Minnesota finished the regular campaign with a 34-10 record and earned the No. 1 overall seed for the WNBA playoffs. Collier then injured a left ankle in Game 3 of the semifinals against the Phoenix Mercury, missed the rest of the series, and Minnesota lost in five games.
Collier’s honours already include two Olympic gold medals plus four selections to both the All-WNBA and All-Defensive Teams. Those achievements, combined with the historic shooting season and new supermax deal, underline Collier’s central role in the Lynx’s long-term plans and in the wider WNBA landscape.
