Munaf fully fit, bowlers raring to go: King

Mysore, June 8 (UNI) Team India's fitness trainer Gregory King today said injury-prone speedster Munaf Patel was 'fully fit' to lead the Indian bowling attack for the upcoming twin tours of Ireland and England later this month.

The South African trainer also said, ''All the bowlers who came to Mysore are fit for the twin-tours,'' adding Munaf has completely recovered from the back injury he had suffered last month.'' Munaf has been dogged by injuries recently and had to return half way through the Bangladesh tour after complaining of lower back pain. He was replaced by Delhi new ball bowler Ishant Sharma before the second Test at Chittagong and had to miss the ongoing Afro-Asia Cup also.

Speaking to newspersons at the end of the five-day bowlers camp held at the Infosys Global Training Centre here, he said all the eleven bowlers who took part in the camp were fully fit.

Three others included in the camp -- S Sreesanth, Zaheer Khan and Harbhajan Singh could not attend the camp because of Afro Asia series.

India would be playing three one-day ties in Ireland against South Africa and another ODI against Pakistan. After that it would tour England to play three tests and seven ODIs.

Expressing satisfaction over the facilities at the Infosys campus, he said it was world class.

The camp was held under the watchful eyes of Bowling Coach Venkatesh Prasad.
