Mukesh Kumar shines on opening day of BT-Honda Pro-Am

Gurgaon, Mar 2 (UNI) Mukesh Kumar carded a round of nine-under-63 to pocket home the first prize of Rs 40,000 on the opening day of the 12th 'Business Today Honda Pro-Am of Champions' at the Golden Greens Golf Club here today.

Ashok Kumar brought in the day's second best card of five-under 67 to pocket home a cheque of Rs. 25,000. In the team event, Uttam Singh Mundy and his team of Akbar Hussain, Nikhil Dhodapkar and Ashish Bharatram led on the opening day with a tally of 108 stableford points from the team of pro Harinder Gupta and amateurs Amit Luthra, Amar Singh and Sudhir Talwar on a better back six score.

In the skills competition, Arun Khanna bagged the closest to the pin award on the fourth hole, while Dilmeet Singh won the longest drive on the 18th hole.
