MSLTA to organise tournament for markers and assistant coaches

Pune, Apr 10 (UNI) Maharashtra State Lawn Tennis Association (MSLTA) will be organizing its first Tennis tournament for markers and assistant coaches at the Econ Tennis Academy here on April 27, 28 and 29, during the Ramesh Desai Memorial Tennis Tournament.

This tournament will be conducted under the New Markers Education Programme and will be open to markers and assistant coaches involved in coaching at various tennis centres in Pune, a MSLTA release here said.

A prize amount of Rs 12,500 will be offered in the singles, from the quarterfinal round onwards, with the winner getting the top prize of Rs 5000. Top four players will be selected for the Maharashtra level tournament to be held in June at Solapur.

Forms have been made available at all the coaching centers in the city and entries will be accepted at the Econ Tennis Academy or at PYC Gymkhana Tennis courts during coaching hours till April 25, the release added.
