MP's annual calendar for sports

Bhopal, May 27 (UNI) The annual calendar for sports and cultural competitions to select teams for the All India Civil Services Meet, has been released.

Teams for 17 sports events and two cultural presentations would be chosen between June 12 and November 23. The competition to select the hockey team took place between May 3 and 7, an official release said here.

A carom competition is scheduled from June 12 to 14 at Mantralaya Sports Club, Bhopal; volleyball on June 19 and 20 at Motilal Nehru Stadium, Bhopal; chess from June 25 to 27 at Mantralaya Sports Club; wrestling on July 17 and 18 at Indore's Malhar Ashram and kabaddi on July 19 and 20 at Indore's Wonders Ground.

A table tennis competition is on the cards from August 7 to 10 at Indira Nikunj Sports Complex, Bhopal; bridge on August 17, weightlifting and bodybuilding on September 5 and 6 at Mantralya Sports Club; powerlifting on September 7 at Mantralaya Sports Club; swimming from September 20 to 22 at Prakash Tarun Pushkar, Bhopal.

Music, dance and skit competition would be held at the RCVP Noronha Academy of Administration and Management's yoga hall on September 27, 28 and 29 respectively.

A lawn tennis competition would take place from October 4 to 6 at Arera Club, Bhopal; basketball competition from October 10 to 12 at T T Nagar Stadium; badminton from October 25 to 27 at Arera Club; football on October 30 and 31, athletics from November 14 to 16 at T T Nagar Stadium and cricket from November 21 to 23 at Ankur School ground, the release added.
