MP sportspersons bag medals at Spl Olympics

Bhopal, Oct 11 (UNI) Sportspersons from Madhya Pradesh have won three medals at the Special Olympics in Shanghai, official sources said today.

Jabalpur's Abhijeet Modak bagged a gold in the 200 m sprint and a bronze in shotput. A bronze was won by the football team which was led by Aziz Khan from the state.

Social Justice Minister Kusum Singh Mehdele announced Rs 25,000 for Modak and Rs 10,000 for soccer team skipper Aziz Khan while basketball coach Ehteshamuddin would receive Rs 5,000 as the team has stood fourth place.
