Modi inaugurates All India Forest Sports Meet at Gandhinagar

Gandhinagar, Feb 1 (UNI) Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi today inaugurated the 16th All India Forest Sports Meet-2008 at Sports Authority of India (SAI) complex here.

The five-day long event has attracted over 2,000 sportspersons from every nook and corner of the country, an official release said here.

Thirty-four teams, representing 24 states, two Union Territories, seven Forest Research Institutes and a Central Ministry team, have arrived here to participate in the event.

The event has total 19 different sports categories, in which the players will exhibit their skills, the release added.
