MLA honours Shillong-born pugilist

Shillong, Sep 7 (UNI) Former Meghalaya Sports and Youth Affairs Minister and Meghalaya Democratic Party MLA P T Sawkmie today honoured pugilist Torak Kharpran at a function here.

Kharpran, who won silver in the recent 54th National Boxing Championship, received cash prize of Rs 10,000 from Mr Sawkmie.

Mr Sawkmie also lauded the Shillong-born pugilist and assured him all help.
