Mithali's plea to AP Govt
Srikalahasti, Andhra Pradesh, May 6 (UNI) Indian Women Cricket Team captain Mithali Raj today urged the state government to encourage school students to take up sports.
Interacting with the press after offering prayers at the Sri Kalahasteeswara Temple here, she said the Indian (women's) team was in good shape with the all team members' aged below 30 years.
On the Indian team's defeat at the recently concluded World Cup, she said ''defeat and victory are common in any game.'' Earlier, accompanied by Former SAAP Chairman P R Mohan, she performed Rahu Kethu pooja at the temple.
