Midnapore witnesses Mexican aerial acrobatics

Midnapore, Feb 23 (UNI) The American Center in Kolkata and Midnapore municipality today jointly organised an aerial acrobatics show at the Indoor Stadium here today.

The one-hour programme 'Escape artist' was an amalgamation of Human and objects, words and movement, air and ground. Exploring the multiple uses of rope, the programme fused aerial acrobatics, poetry, stilts, fire and film.

Inaugurating the programme, American Center director Doglas Kelle said, '' This is a venture into people's heart by means of abstract metaphor, lyrics, physical entanglement, connection and hilarity. '' Since its origin, the programme has travelled from New Mexico to Midnapore to pay tributes to the rich culture and freedom movement, that started here, Kelle said.

More than 5000 people witnessed this dynamic and vibrant show.
