MEG, Central Railway enter finals in basketball tourney

Kochi, Oct 11 (UNI) MEG Bangalore in men's section and Central Railway, Mumbai, in women's section entered the finals of the Geojit Ever Rolling Cup All India Invitation Basketball prize money tournament at the Rajiv Gandhi indoor stadium here today.

In the semi-finals, MEG defeated ICF Chennai (60-53) with Peter John scoring 24 points for the winners. They will meet the winners of other semi-final between Central Excise, Kochi and Sathyabhama University, Chennai.

Central Railway, Mumbai beat South Western Railway, Hubli (64-45) to sail into the final of the women's section.

In the final, they will meet the winners of the tie between KSEB Thiruvananthapuram and Southern Railway.
