Mathuravani grabs lead with win over Himani

New Delhi, May 20 (UNI) R Mathuravani defeated Himani Sharma to grab the sole lead with four points after the fourth and penultimate round in the Amity Delhi State Under-11 Girls chess championship.

Mathuravani will take on second spot holder Priyam Chalih (3,5 points), to decide the winner in this category.

Meanwhile, in the open category, top seed Vaibhav Suri, second seed Prince Bajaj and Abir Sinha are leading the table with four points each after four rounds.

Aman Jhakar and Vinayak Seth are closely following the leaders with 3.5 points each.

In the top table, Suri easily overcame rival Pavit Singh.

But in the second table, time trouble for his opponent helped second seed Prince Bajaj to overcome rival Shubham Bhaskar. Abir Sinha defeated Swayam Bhatia with out much effort.
