Marseille midfielder Ribery out for at least two weeks

PARIS, Feb 25 (Reuters) Olympique Marseille midfielder Franck Ribery will be out of action for at least two weeks with a foot injury, the Ligue 1 club said today.

France midfielder Ribery, who was replaced midway through the first half of his side's 3-0 defeat by Toulouse yesterday, sustained a fracture in his right foot.

''He will not be able to play or train during at least two weeks,'' coach Albert Emon told the club's Web site (www.om.net).

Ribery will miss Olympique Marseille's French Cup quarter-final against third division Vannes on Tuesday, as well as league matches against RC Lens and leaders Olympique Lyon.

Marseille, who have not won in their last five Ligue 1 outings, dropped to sixth place in the standings with 38 points from 26 matches.
