Mann, Chowrasia tied at 15th while Johl, Malik miss cut in Bangkok
Bangkok, Jun 9 (UNI) India's Gurbaaz Mann and SSP Chowrasia lost ground, coming up with disappointing penultimate-round scores of one-over 72 and three-over 74 respectively after striking it rich with identical 66s in the second round of the Bangkok Airways Open at Koh Samui here.
Both Mann and Chowrasia were tied 15th while compatriots Amandeep Johl and Amardip Malik turned in disastrous performances to miss the halfway cut.
Ace golfer Gaurav Ghei turned in an even par show to be tied 22nd alongwith four others.
Chowrasia was two shots off the lead held by Korean Lee Sung when play was suspended early in the second round due to darkness.
Mann and Chowrasia have since lost momentum and aggregate two-under 211.
Lee is sitting pretty atop the leaderboard with a seven stroke buffer as he more or less dashed all hopes anyone could have of staging a comeback with a miraculous nine-under 62 in third round.
Meanwhile, Rahil Gangjee went two-over 73 for a total tally of two-over 215 to lie at 29th spot while Digvijay Singh is one stroke behind him at tied 35th.
Arjun Singh is languishing at tied 47th spot after a one-over 72.
