Manipuris rules roost in wushu

Guwahati, February 11 (UNI) Manipur stamped its authority in wushu bagging a total of 11 medals, including six Gold, so far out of 35 on offer in the 33rd National Games here.

Apart from the six Gold medals, it has captured four Silver and a Bronze.

Host Asom has bagged three Gold and a bronze, Delhi follows with two Gold and three Silver while Madhya Pradesh got a Gold, two Silver and as many Bronze.

Not only that, native Manipuris settled in other states brought glory to their adopted homelands in the newly inducted event.

For the host all the four medal winners are native Manipuris.

Same goes for the the Gold medal winners from Delhi and Madhya Pradesh.
