Malik raps govt for conducting HOA elections

Chandigarh, Sep 27 (UNI) Haryana Olympic Association (HOA) Secretary General M S Malik today criticised the Haryana government for conducting ''fake'' elections of the HOA in a closed door meeting in ''utter disregard'' to a court order.

''It is quite surprising that these fake elections were conducted in a tearing hurry in violation of the order of a Sirsa court,'' Malik said in a statement here today.

The orders of the court were highlighted on the electronic media, particularly on a Haryana News channel, much prior to the holding of the elections, he pointed out.

''The state government and Administrator appointed by the government R R Jowel have displayed disrespect of the highest order to the honourable court. It amounts to contempt of court,'' he alleged.
