Maharashtra beat Chattisgarh in Jr Volleyball

Vijayawada, Jan 15 (UNI) Maharashtra beat Chattisgarh 3-0 in the 33rd Junior National Volleyball Championship for boys and girls here.

In the league-phase match held in boy's section, Maharashtra outplayed Chattisgarh 25-20, 25-19, 25-14 in pool 'D'. Tamil Nadu outwitted Bihar 25-16, 25-14, 25-15 in pool 'C'. In another exciting match Rajasthan beat Uttaranchal 25-18, 25-16, 17-25, 19-25, 15-12 and Madhya Pradesh beat Tripura 25-13, 25-11, 25-12 in pool 'B'.

In the girl's section, Chandigarh beat Chattisgarh 25-14, 25-10, 25-14 in pool 'A', while Uttar Pradesh trounced Madhya Pradesh 25-12, 25-15, 25-12 in pool 'D'. Punjab trounced Bihar 25-16, 25-15, 25-11 while Maharashtra defeated Gujarat 25-13, 25-17, 25-15 in pool 'B'.
