Mah Governor Jamir congratulates Abhinav Bindra

Mumbai, Aug 11 (UNI) Maharashtra Governor S C Jamir today congratulated Abhinav Bindra for winning India's first-ever individual Olympic Gold Medal by claiming the Men's 10m Air Rifle Shooting title in Beijing Olympics.

In a congratulatory message, Mr Jamir said, ''On behalf of the people of Maharashtra and my own behalf, I congratulate Abhinav for winning the Olympic Gold and wish him glorious success in future.'' ''The entire nation and the Indian community spread across the world is proud of Abhinav for winning the first-ever individual Olympic Gold Medal for the country. This is one of the finest moments in India's sporting history and I am sure it will inspire the entire Indian contingent participating in the Olympics to put up their best performance,'' he added.
