Madras University finishes third

Kottayam, Jan 30 (UNI) Runner up Madras University had to be content with third place in the All India Inter University Women's Volleyball championship here today.

In the loser's final this evening Madras University defeated Calicut University 21-25, 20-25, 27-25, 25-16, and 15-09.

Backed by M Kalaivani's power smashes, Madras University took 86 minutes to beat Calicut University.
