Liam Harrison Excited For ONE 167 Return, Previews ONE 168 Clash With Seksan

British Muay Thai legend Liam Harrison has faced a herculean task since suffering a debilitating injury in August 2022. Now, after almost two years on the sidelines, he's just a week away from returning to the ONE Championship Circle inside Bangkok, Thailand's Impact Arena.

"Hitman" meets Katsuki Kitano in a bantamweight Muay Thai firefight at ONE 167: Tawanchai vs. Nattawut II on Saturday, 8 June. The bout marks his first appearance since tearing his MCL, ACL, and meniscus against Nong-O Hama at ONE on Prime Video 1. Now, the British star is enjoying the process again.

"Now I'm back to training like I was before. Getting lots of hard, hard sparring rounds in because, obviously, while I've been out with injury, that's what I missed. So I'm getting all that locked in now. I'm sparring with some real heavy hitters, some real sharp guys, and I'm just enjoying it," Harrison said.

"I was in pain all the time. The main thing is now I'm not. And I'm enjoying it again. So it's going to be good to be back."

Should Harrison leave his scrap with Kitano unscathed, the Leeds native will be back in action on the biggest card this year on 7 September when he meets fellow Muay Thai icon Seksan Or Kwanmuang at ONE 168: Denver.

You can call this the "Hitman's" summer, because Harrison is making up for lost time with two prolific bouts scheduled. But for fans, September's clash with Seksan is a contest that they've desired for quite some time.

Unbelievably, the pair have never crossed paths. But with the duo both in similar positions in ONE, Harrison believes the meshing of their styles will lead to fireworks in Denver, Colorado, later this year.

"Yeah, it's the only legend that's not on my resume from this era. Plus, with his style and my style, I just think you can make something really good for the fans. No one's going to move or step back," he said.

"I'll just stand in the middle with him because he likes to trade. I like to trade. We're both going to have a good time, and the crowd are going to get their money's worth."
