Lele questions move to cap endorsements by players
Vadodara, Apr 10 (UNI) Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) secretary Jaywant Lele has questioned the rationale behind the Board's capping of endorsements by players.
''A player who performs well is bound to get advertisements and there is nothing wrong if he is asked to endorse commercial products,'' Mr Lele told UNI.
Criticising the rationale behind the BCCI move in placing a cap on endorsements, Mr Lele asked. ''Will a player who performs badly be called to endorse a product.'' The BCCI ban is not only unnecessary but is also wrong, he added.
