Leaked transcript of Tiger Woods apology 'absolutely false', says rep

Washington, Feb 19 (ANI): Tiger Woods team has said that the purported transcript of the public apology the disgraced golfer was preparing to deliver is 'absolutely false.'

In the alleged statement, Woods says: "sadly things have not worked out" between him and his wife Elin Nordegren, despite their reported efforts to patch things up.

The statement surfaced a day after Woods' agent announced the golfer would make a public apology on Friday, reports CBS News.

However, Glenn Greenspan, spokesman for the Tiger Woods Foundation, told the New York Daily News that the text obtained by a North Carolina radio station is fake.

KSF FM 99.9 didn't say how it got its hands on the text. (ANI)
