Ladylove's mum played cupid in Lewis Hamilton's new romance

London, May 24 : Lewis Hamilton's new ladylove's mum played cupid in their budding relationship.

The Formula 1 ace is said to have fallen head over heels for Miss World contestant Vivian Burkhardt.

Their romance started after the driver had invited the stunning beauty to a bash during a February visit to the sun-kissed Caribbean island of Grenada, where both Vivian and his grandad have their homes.

And now, the 22-year-old Vivian's mum Valerie has revealed that she took a hand in persuading her daughter to accept his approach.

"Lewis first invited her out for a meal. They got to know each other, became close, and started writing to each other. Then Lewis asked her to Cannes," The Sun quoted Valerie, as saying.

"I'm a big motor racing fan and think it was my love of the sport that got Vivian interested. She watched races with me," she added.

Valerie added: "Lewis and Vivian are taking it slowly but I'm hopeful it'll work out."
