Lack of resources affecting development of sports, says Deepika Padukone

New Delhi, Oct 9(ANI): Bollywood actress and a badminton player Deepika Padukone on Friday said that the lack of resources has affected development of sports and the immense talent available across the country.

During the course of a promotional event held in the national capital, Padukone said that she has regularly tried to help several sportspersons who were facing problems to continue with their aim.

"I think there is a lot of talent in the country and there is potential. Unfortunately there is a lack of resources and I don't think they have enough financial support to take it forward. I have tried my little bit to help a couple of sports people and create awareness," Padukone said.

"Couple of months back I played badminton with Aamir in a way to create awareness about other sports apart from cricket," Padukone added. (ANI)
