Labour India Public School retains title in Nationals

Kochi, Jan 8 (UNI) Labour India Public School, Kottayam sucessfully defended their overall championship title at the 12th CBSE National Athletics Championship-2008, which concluded here today.

The chmapions got 167 points while SBOA school and Junior College from Chennai took the second place with a tally of 67 points.

In boys U-14, Maibam Jogamani Singh of St John's International Residential school got the highest individual score of 13 points and in girls U-14, K Mila of SBOA School and Junior College, Chennai topped the list with 19 points.

While Deep Narayan of Happy Nodel School, Varanasi with 14 points came first in boys U-16, Stephy John of Labour India Public School, Kottayam was number one with same number of points in girls U-16.

Sayed Abdul Hadi of Indian Community School, Kuwait and Reshma Sara Raji of VSSC CEntral School, Thumba were the champions in boys and girls U-19 respectively.

In the overall list, Abu Dhabi Indian School with 72 points and RKP Madina from Haryana took the third and fourth positions respectively.
